Sensitivities

Now as you know, people with Autism/Aspergers have well, oversensitive senses. Mine are mostly sound, smell, sometimes touch and taste based sensitivities.

The sound and smell based sensitivities are the worst.Going on our local transport system gets harder and harder to do each day. Weed smells, alcohol smells, strong perfumes/colognes, loud obnoxious people, all of that makes going on public transport hard. Getting a car and learning how to drive would be the best for me.

When I was little, I would go to my brother's hockey games. I would have to be taken home early though as when people screamed/cheered or the alarm would go, I would scream and cry and no matter how many games I was brought to, the same thing happened. So, the end result? I stopped going to the games. Now I am a bit more accustomed to Hockey games.

Also, thunder and lightning, that used to scare the daylights out of me until a year or two ago. I rationalized that if I'm not afraid of fireworks, then why am I afraid of thunder and lightning? They're basically the same thing, only that  fireworks are artificial and thunder and lightning is natural.

Anyhoo, I am running out of things to type, so without further ado, I'll post this :)
